Lake Norman State Park, North Carolina
It was my first Fall in Charlotte, North Carolina. I must say – Charlotte is a really beautiful place during Autumn Season. Nov 1st, 2008 (Saturday) was an unusually bright, sunny day and we decided to explore Charlotte to see all its majestic fall colors.
Lake Norman State Park was the first place we could think of because of it’s proximity to Charlotte. Lake Norman State Park is a beautiful State Park with facilities for fishing, biking, hiking, boating, picnicking, camping, swimming and so on. The park is breathtaking during Fall. The Trees put up a remarkable show. The park is really big and is never crowded. Lake Norman is the largest manmade lake in North Carolina. The Park is located on the shores of Lake Norman. There is an artificial beach where swimming is permitted in Summer. The State Park has another 33 acre lake formed by a dam, where fishing and boating is permitted.
